1. The Children's Playground
A relaxation area for families with equipment that is fun but puts safety first.
2. The Snow Leopards
These special cats deserve a special look!
3. The Summerhouse
This fine building is listed and is a good example of the work of the famous Norfolk Architect, Thomas Ivory. When funds allow it will be restored.
4. The Red Pandas
These close cousins of the Giant Panda spend most of their time high in the Sweet Chestnut Trees.
5. The Gibbons
Amongst the trees of Thrigby the calls of these agile apes have amazing quality reminiscent of their jungle origins. See our Primates page.
6. Monkeys
The grassy bar-less enclosure gives an ideal home to a large family group.
7. The Swamphouse
The U.F.A.W. Award for Welfare was awarded to this purpose built home to the crocodiles and alligators.
8. Otters and Porcupines
The latest enclosures offer superb photographic opportunity.
9. Small Animals/Forest House
Enjoy meeting these creatures as you would in their natural home.
10. Cockatoo Cafe
A wide range of summer snacks are available in this spacious building.
11. Gift Shop
The gift shop in the Hall contains a wide selection of gifts to suit all tastes and pockets.
12. Pool Garden
This sheltered oasis of calm is home to a variety of fine birds.
13. Babirusa
These gentle Indonesian "Pig-deer" are everyone's favourite.
14. Tiger Tree Walk
Walk up through the high Lime trees above the splendid tigers along the Tiger Tree Walk.
15. Tigers
Thrigby has devoted a lot of attention to these animals and has been rewarded by many litters. See them as you cannot see them in Sumatra.
16. Owls
Only the biggest Owls are at Thrigby.
17. Walk-through Aviary
Painted Storks have bred well here. Visit the Walk-through Aviary .
18. Cats' Cloisters
For unique viewing of cats the Cat's Cloisters is the place.
19. Willow Pattern Garden
The Willow Pattern Garden has its basis in the legend as portrayed on the famous willow pattern plates.
20. Lime Tree Lookout
The Lime Tree Lookout close to the willow pattern lake provides an excellent vantage point to view the wildfowl on the lake.
